Default LS2 Advice for car purchase

I am looking at a 2006 Chevy Corvette that was taken in as a trade in at local chevy dealership, the car is a 2006 A6 LT3 w/161k miles on the ODO, there is 8 pages of service records on the car through chevy with an oil change performed like every 1-1.5 months and brakes and batteries over the years. The car is not going to go on the lot because of the miles so its going to auction if i don't buy it through a friend who is a salesman there.. I am told that i can take the car off their hands for 13k.... there is no records of the transmission being serviced... so between the engine and tranny i wanted to get yalls opinions.. i test drove the car and it seemed to drive like every other ls2 corvette i have test driven over the past year.. and has no check engine lights at all... tires are basically new on the rear with about 60% on the front.. the guy who traded it in bought a new C7 corvette.

For 13k out the door, this is literally a no brainer for me. Buy it, enjoy and mod it as needed.

You would be hard pressed to find a C5 for $13k. It sounds like a good deal.

A 2006 is a C6, so its actually an even better deal.

thats around 20k miles a year the car was driven. as long as the service records dont have any majors repairs I think you should go for it, just be prepare for additional maintenance for a high mileage car, but at that price you will have a ton of money in the bank for maintenance and upgrades!!
