Default Need some Ideas and help on 6.0 408 Stroker

Okay so i just picked up this LQ9 for a killer deal. Anyways I want it to be a high revving monster on boost and nitrous.
Plans for this are Forged 408 Stroker kit from TSP, Mast or TFS rectangular port heads, fast 102/102 or holley intake, and custom grind cam. 10:1 compression ratio and I want to be able to rev up to 7k... Which heads do ya'll recommend between the Mast 255s and TFS 255. Throwing on a F-1A with 10-12lb of boost with a 150-200 shot...
Truck is a 1991 C1500 with a t56, stage 4 monster clutch and 4.10s on a 10 bolt.
What will I need to be able to rev up to 7k? Im up for any ideas for this build, might take a while to build but I wanna go all out. Truck is currently ls1 swapped and soon to be on nitrous for now while i build the 6.0... thanks in advance.

I can't say that I have heard many bad things about either set of heads. To me, Mast always seems like top shelf stuff, but there is no scientific reason behind that.

On another note. If you are only planning on 12psi, I think an F-1A might be a little lazy on the bottom. What are your power goals? I think a D-1SC might fit the bill better at those boost levels.

Power goals are 700whp+ on 12lbs and 830whp+ with the 150 shot. And thanks man I'll look into that!

I'd also recommend looking at the Precision Race Components 260cc LS3 cylinder heads! They flow incredibly well, and they also feature a thicker deck surface that will be ideal for boost and nitrous. All of the PRC aftermarket castings also feature the 6-bolt provisions, just in case you ever decide to bolt them onto a GMPP LSx or RHS block. Another great benefit of the PRC aftermarket castings is that they're already setup to accommodate 1/2" head studs, which is something that we currently offer for a great price! You can see the PRC 260cc LS3 heads below:

http://www.texas-speed.com/p-4010-pr...der-heads.aspx

If we build your short-block or long-block, you can upgrade to 1/2" head studs for only $500! That includes the machine work AND the new ARP 1/2" head stud kit! It's a great deal, especially when you consider that the standard 12-pt. ARP head stud kit is $308.99 by itself. Just something to think about, especially if you go with a set of PRC heads that are setup for 1/2" head studs already.

Feel free to give us a call if we can help you with your build!

Oh & by the way you get hollow stem valves free of charge on the PRC heads!!

Valvetrain weight is very important so we're moving to hollow stem on the 260s!!
