Default RHS head question. 54500. Port specific

Been looking at these for a while now. Thinking about pulling the trigger but there is one bit of info i cannot find the answer on.

Title says RHS ls3/ls7 heads. but on RHs website it says ls7. Can these heads been used with ls3 intakes or is it strictly a ls7 head. This head will be ported to match my motor along with chamber and all. Looking for around 420cfm if possible with a holley hi ram. but was looking at a few ls3 manifolds.

RHS#784-54500
Pro Elite Cylinder Head
GM LS3/LS7
Bare Head
Without Valve Job

Ls7 intake for Ls7 heads. They sell a Holley high ram for the Ls7. Here's who you need to get the cfm that your requiring...

Big FRH port 306.5cc 2.250 intake valve and 1.600 exhaust Valve
Intake Flow
.200/160
.300/244
.400/310
.500/365
.600/393
.700/411
.750/420

We also offer a solid roller head that is 308cc that has a 2.250/1.600 valves that flows 438cfm on intake and 269 on the exhaust @.820. That head has Ports designed for high rpm and bigger camshafts. It also has a 50 degree valve job.

I hope this helps you on head choices. The rhs casting is a good choice for sure.

Why are you against running a LS7 style intake? They make one in the one you want. You can also get the p-porter RHS heads and have them ported by a guy like Chris Frank.

I see everyone pumping on this guys shaft, but I can't say I've ever seen any of his stuff run. Amazing what good pictures and flow numbers will do.

Because he does head work for the 1% racing teams out there, so you aren't going to see hardly anyone on this site running his heads due to price. Go meandor over to Yellow Bullet and see what this guys ported heads are capable of.

Same ol' crap over there too. Bunch of fancy pictures and flow numbers, no one running the stuff. I'm just wondering how someone can recommend something without having first hand experience with it.

Well, Daddy Dave and Monza run Frankenstein ported heads on their cars, and I'd say they are making some pretty impressive power.

Briou has FRH Ls7 heads on his 454 and I have a set of Ls3"s on my 408. I am very pleased also took the heads 2 SAM and Chris verified that they flow what is on my flow sheet.

LMFAO, that's what you consider 1% race teams? HAHAHA, just about anyone's heads run pretty well with a turbo or a couple stages of nitrous. I thought you were talking about a real race team.

SO here is the question then. What would you guys put on the motor for head? 350 cubes. 4.185 bore, 3.185 stroke. aluminum rods. 12:1 compression @50cc combustion chamber. Solid roller cam on race gas. I will be going with jesel belt drive/ front distributor combo. Hi ram intake with dual carbs. Pistons are flat tops 2 valve releif coated and so on.

I think it would be best just to call and state your combination and ask what would be recommended.

I would raise the compression to about 15:1, and get a set of un ported heads and port them myself

with the flat tops only way im changing compression is lower chamber size. And im using the flat tops i have and not changing them. 38cc chamber i get to 14:1. but thats a tiny chamber.
