The Pro's have tighter clearances and smaller oiling holes. That is why they require 5/30 max weight oil. Also needs to be clean oil or else particles can clog them. I also believe the Pro's are billet bodies if I am not mistaking.

From what I gather it is pretty much what TurboBuick6 said....you only want to run the pro's if you are planning on really frequent oil changes, aka not much street driving...

All the lifters are basically made out of the same material. None are billet.

Morel is a customer of mine. I have been in their shop hundreds of times. They make lifters for probably 10 other companies under different names.

The neat lifters are the version they make for NASCAR. They are black in color and have some kind of diamond finish to add lubricity to the lifter so it floats easier in the bore.

I can assure you none of them are tool steel and definitely not billet. I do not even need to ask about that one. I know the material. Nobody uses tool steel on the lifter bodies. The rollers might be a different issue, but considering it is a bearing, they probably use 52100. Pretty common bearing material that can be hardened to 63 HRc if needed.

They have many different styles. I never claimed they were all the same style.

Yep, i know Ed, but he is busy on his outside projects these days. I haven't seem him in a while.

So is the oil weight correct for the pro lifters I have seen many guys running them with heavier weights like 5w40 the reason I'm asking is I have the 5274's in my build but it's still on the stand!
