What's the difference between the two pulleys? What makes the not interchangeable?

answer: The inner off-set of the balancer to compensate for the longer crank about. Just like a wheel for a narrowed rearend. The accessory line up is the same. That's why when you do a wet sump conversion you only have to change the balancer to the ls3
