Been looking for info on these but cant seem to find any. Jesel is local to me and ive been interested in these for a while but cant see any info on anyone who has used them. Im needing a cam for my build and was interested in having one designed then cut from one of these cores. Anyone have any info?


I am looking for a solid roller cam, 60mm core for a dart next block N/A build. Track motor max effort. Also will be using .937 diameter lifters with .850 roller wheels.

We finish grind these every week for Jesel. They are made from S7 tool steel. They are through hardened unlike other cores. The top cam is for a Top Fuel car finished they are about $1400.00. We make custom 60mm cores for the LS engines they will last as long as the tool steel for less cost.

So for the jesel core cam for a ls engine is around $1400? And you can make a ls cam on those cores?

i would call right now if i had my head flow chart. But i am waiting on my head castings to come in.

The jesel cores are good for something unique, that other less expensive alternatives aren't available.

You would need to call Jesel to see if they have cores available for a 60mm LS engine. I have not ground any LS cores Jesel made. I do not think he has made any for the LS but I could be wrong. I know they can make any core from a print. We have 60mm 8620 cores in the round stage available for custom profiles that can be milled to your spec's then heat treated and finish ground.

I got a reply back from jesel. They do make a cam core for ls engines in 60mm. Made to order. 4-5 week lead time at this moment.
