whiney Comp cam should i replace the lifters
My comp cam whines and doesnt make the power it should with my mods So im replacing it with a Pat G Cam Motion cam. should i replace the lifters?
I really dont want to. I guess ARP 134-3610 are the correct head bolts for a LS3 with stock 821 heads. Ill use GM LS7 lifters 12499225. GM 12610046 head gaskets.

I wouldn't use LS7 lifters in nothing. Spend 60 more bucks on the morel 5315 lifters.

see what
Mr. Patrick G recommends. He'd have a good idea.

Ls7 lifters are fine, but I'd spend the extra money on the Morel's. The only reason I recommended new lifters the other day was because you said the cam whined. That's usually a sign of damaged lobes and lifters. If you have the time, and you really don't want to pull the lifters out, pull the old cam out and inspect it. If it looks fine, then the lifters are most likely fine as well.
The power you made still confuses me however. I still think there was something else going on there. Possibly a bad grind.

warning blatant sale plug with tech advice
If you are going to replace them anyway id look at our ls7 lifter/morel gp sale thread.

although you could likely use the ls7 lifters, like alot of people have recommended, i would go with the 5315s. They are higher quality and will work better if you are using higher pressure springs or higher than normal rpms. Or higher cylinder pressures for any number of reasons.

IF you were going to only do it once and never regret it and pound on it and actually keep the car longer than a new iphone, then I would recommend the 5206 morels. They will never let you down. That way if you decide to spin it higher then you will really have no issues.
You can PM me for pricing on those.
