Thumbs up Custom cam from Martin@Tick is on the way for my 402

I'm excited and wanted to thank Martin in advance for answering all my questions and taking the time to make me a custom grind.

Can't wait to install and dyno!

I don't mind posting my cam specs but I'd rather Martin post, or not post, what he's comfortable with revealing.

I know some companies are secretive about their specs and I respect that decision

Any more details on that FRS Intake?

I can respect that.

The thing is Y ? be Secretive about a custom cam for your particular engine not a off the shelf cam meant for every1. My cam was a 256/270 .715 solid roller with 1.7 rockers, got 1.8 rockers for a 408 by Martin. Chris can port match any intake for around 400-600 bucks.
He may give me a deal as I'm a little FRH sales man. LOL!!!!!

Details on my intake? Nothin fancy about it. It's just a FAST LSXR 102mm for the LS7 ported and portmatched by Frankenstein. I had them do it since they were doing my heads.

Actually there was nothing wrong with my current cam.

I made 500 rwhp and 470 rwtq on a VERY stingy dyno in humid Florida weather with 4:10's and 19" rims with big, heavy drag radials.

Out of curiosity I called Martin about six weeks ago and told him my set up at which point I then asked him what would he recommend as a custom spec camshaft. He was very informative and very helpful and answered all my questions and the camshaft that he spec'd for me was considerably different than the one I run now.

After that very educational conversation, 6 weeks later I ordered the camshaft and will strap the car down on the same dyno to see the difference.

Gonna put my current cam on eBay

Edit: I run with Exotics on Corsa Rally's. 2 months ago I put bus lengths on an Audi R8 V10 Plus in a highway race. So I'm making good real world power.

Ok. In your sig it said FRS Intake and wasn't sure.

I'm happy with my ported LSXR 102 as well

Not a big significant difference to the cam on your sig. But hopefully will make a little more power. GL

Did you ever run your car at the track? What did it trap with the other cam.

What's the lsa of both cams? Any advance?
5 degrees duration on both int/exh is not significant, I'm curious to see what you pick up.

4 every 4 degrees + on intake duration add 20 to 25 hp that's the basic rule of thumb.

Never ran at the track; just a lot of highways races in Mexico

Tusky and Ragtop - yes, L92 heads that have been slightly hand ported.
