Default LM7 Cam advice

Hey guys I have a 04 Silverado 5.3L LM7 with a magnuson mp112 supercharger. I have long tube headers and magnaflow exhaust system. I want some advice on a good cam for my truck. What is a good cam for this truck? What else would I have to do or replace when I replace the cam?

I also want to port, polish and mill my heads also. Would this cam work or should I spec one out to my head porting and milling?

I would call one of the sponsors Martin at Tick Performance or Kip at Cam Motion. The Ls9 cam is for a gen 4 motor and you have a gen 3 motor. You can make it work but it would be easier to get the correct cam. While your in there you can replace the timing chain and oil pump.

The ls9 cam is also for square port heads and has a ridiculous exhaust duration bias built into the cam. That may just so happen to work with positive displacement blowers, but there are definitely better options for a blown cathedral headed motor.

Get a custom grind cam from one of the sponsors here. You can even retain the vvt system if you want to.

Also the LS9 cam designed for a 3200lbs car

Comp Cams 54-412-11 , XE lobes, simple cam

212/218 .522/.529 114

To move 5000 lbs need more tq. , close the intake valve sooner. Add PAC 1218 springs.
