Default budget lc9 build

im currently building an lc9 5.3l on an extreme budget. so far the build is stock lc9
afm delete
vvt delete
ls7 lifters
ls3 cam
ls6 valve springs
polished and bowl blend on 243 heads.(wanting to mill heads but don't want to spend $ on pushrods. ive ordered a pushrod length checker to see if I will be able to mill.)
will this be enough compression to utilize the cams potential?
so far the build has cost me only $340.
some input on this build would be appreciated.

I got the engine installed. we ended up reprograming the pcm to think its 6.0l. it runs damn strong imo. I haven't dyno tuned it yet but when I do I will post numbers.

Did you end up running different pushrods or stayed with stock?

Have a question on the afm delete kit. I am building an 2008 lc9 in my avalanche and doing the afm/dod delete kit and I'm trying to figure out how to route the pcv hose. The ls3 valley cover has the tube on the front but I do not know what hose goes to it. Any help would be much appreciated

Sorry to dredge up an old post but while looking for information for my LC9 build I ran across this and it is almost the exact configuration I am thinking about. My LC9 is a 2008 so it does not have the VVT but other than that pretty much the same.

Did you ever dyno the engine? Still pleased with the performance choices?

My engine has 180K on it so I will likely put some new rings and bearings in it while I have it out.

Not to hijack this, but which year did LC9's start getting VVT?
