NO NEEDLES TO WORRY ABOUT!!!!

These new bushing LS trunion kits for factory LS rockers are shipping the 3rd week of January. Engineered to provide maximum lubrication to the trunion while also providing maximum load capabilities, the NEW bushing LS trunion UP-grade kits give the LS world piece of mind. The proprietary bushing material is fed with an oil channel at the 10 and 2 positions of the trunion. This channel constantly feeds oil to the bushing surface ensuring proper lubrication. The greater surface area will support 300X the load of what a needle will. Also there is NO CHANCE of needle bearings destroying the engine when using much more aggressive cam profiles with stock type rockers.

Kit includes the trunion, bushings and C-Clips and can be used with the stock rocker bolt.

Pricing will be set at 159.00 per kit. Contact SRD directly for ordering!

Great news Martin! Can you compare/contrast with the CHE
Bushing?
Will be great to have more options to take out needle rollers
In lifters as well!

The manufacturing process is done here in the USA by a precision shop that does work for NASCAR, medical and military contracts. I can’t speak for CHE but all of the parts are machined in an environmentally controlled shop. Trunions are centerless ground to .0002” then micro polished to proper fit with the bushing. The bushing material has been selected for excellent wear resistance and enhanced lubricity properties.

Well, I've held off doing the trunion upgrade, but this looks to be a much better product than what's already on the market, so I guess I have no excuse now not to do it.

Who's SRD?

You peaked my interest. I'd like to see a pic of one when they are released.

Thanks

These are made by Chris Straub, and they are one hell of a piece.

LOL yeah I don't know that
I'm questioning the so called proprietary bushing material.
I've never like the bearing trunion kits because all but the Sharps use a case hardened trunion & I'm skeptical about the durability, I'm sure most of the people that use them have never disassembled & inspected them.
There was a thread on YB a few months ago the Kurt Urban replied in, he said most he's checked showed damage.

The bushing is a good idea depending on the materials used, some types of Ampco bronze is tough & can be hard on steel but something has to wear.

I think the bushings are a good idea, Evo Harleys had them in the rocker arms & cam covers that supported the cam.

I like that this kit can be installed without sending the rockers in like with the CHEs, they also claim a proprietary material but I doubt if anyone has developed their own bronze alloy.

When you use a roller bearing, most of the time, the bearings float within the races allowing different portions of the bearing to absorb the load you are placing on it. If you are switching to a bushing, you are now loading one side of the bushing in the same place all the time. Aren't these going to wear on the load side since the bushing is not going to float and change the load bearing surfaces?

If Chris says they are good I would run them.

CHI has had a similar product for years.
