Glad to hear it was a simple fix. Now the painful wait for the tune.

Update

Finally got the trans issue all sorted out and just finished up doing the street tune with HP tuners pro. Man what a difference it makes having the pro version over the standard... For anyone contemplating on which version to get I highly suggest you save yourself the headaches and go with the pro to begin with.

The tuner and I spent about 2 hours on the road in various gears/speeds dialing in the VE table followed by the MAF and the car runs absolutely amazing for such a large cam/stall combination. I have the dyno reserved for tomorrow night to finalize the WOT fueling along with the timing. I couldnt be happier with how the car is running.

Over the weekend I installed the Nitrous Outlet stand alone fuel cell which i have pictured below. The plan for tomorrow is to dial in the motor and return to the dyno in a week to tune the nitrous as i still need to wire in the fuel system for it. I will be posting vids/dyno sheets tomorrow night good or bad... Hoping to see close to 500whp NA as the converter and cam are set for big nitrous so the NA numbers wont be anything to brag about.

On a so side note: I ended up having to ditch the FTP lid as it wouldnt line up to the MAF so i swapped to a Spectre small cone filter and it's honestly one of the nicer filters Ive come across... I dont see it choking up the engine but the track will tell... I will remove the stock air filter and cut a piece of abs plastic to cover the lid area so it looks nice. I think the bay looks pretty bad *** as it sits.

UPDATE

So I got the car on the dyno last night and of course with my luck, one of their rollers goes bad right after the first pull... So I have it rescheduled for next Monday so we can actually get it dialed in for WOT.

The first and only pull it put down 460whp and 405wtq at 6600rpm with a fat AFR of 12.3... It should have maybe 20whp left in it taking it up to 7500 and getting the AFR spot on... Have to remind myself that this cam is a nitrous cam and opens the exhaust valve pretty early so it won't make great numbers NA, especially in regards to torque.

Picture below for your time

Is that a spectre filter from a auto parts place? I ran one like that for a little bit before. It was junk. I never dyno'd it but it was a for sure restriction. I could race my buddy's mustang with a 347 and just barely edge him out. Take off the filter completely and would put a a few cars on him with a steady pull the entire race.

JUNK. A lid setup like you had would give you 15hp I bet.

I got it on Ebay as I just needed some kind of filter for the time being. I'll do back to back pulls with it on and off to see the difference. Be very interesting to see what happens

I'll be a little more optimistic and say youll be closer to 500 than 480 leaning it out and maybe being able to add another degree or two timing. I agree on the air filter also. Going back to the lid will also let you have a ram air setup that will help at the track.

UPDATE

Just made a thread in the dyno section of the results from the NA tune. Finally got the bugs sorted out and have it running great on the motor.

Got the tune all dialed in on the street after doing some test hits. This was on a local road in "Mexico". Launched off the Trans-Brake at 3700 after doing a light burnout and no prep on the road. The SOB leaves hard for such a tight nitrous converter.

Thats a helluva pill to start on. With how loose you have the front end be ready to pedal it.

I was running the same jet in my old SBE HCI Ls1 setup and went 10.76 at 126 with a shitty DA. I keep the front loose on the street to help with weight transfer as it needs all the help it can get...

My hope is to have the progressive setup to leave on around 200-225 and ramp in the rest over 2-3 seconds on the street. Its a grudge car but do hit the track as much as I can.

500 worth of gas will be nuts on the street on a small tire. I wish you the best of luck sir. Keep the thread updated if you can.

Finally got all the bugs worked out with the high RPM miss issue and went out to Mexico to dial in the car on the bottle. I sprayed down the lanes with vht and lit it on fire to make sure it was all extra sticky and sure enough it did the trick.

The first video is using the .082(225 shot) jets and was pulling 8* with the LNC2000. There was a slight delay with the nitrous coming on off of the Trans-Brake but it left PERFECT! Did one more pass and same result, left perfect and no spinning or tune issues.

Decided to throw in the .110(350 shot) jets and pulled 13* of timing with the LNC2000 and setup the progressor to initially spray at 80% and bring in the rest over 2 seconds... The video speaks for it self Pulled tire about a foot off the ground and then the break happened... LOL

Ended up only being a broken rear Ujoint... THANK GOD. The 10 bolt is holding up perfect being that it has all aftermarket internals in it. I have a greased conversion Ujoint in the back of my shaft which is the weak link... Next up will be adding a 1350 pinion yolk to the rear and slapping in a Spicer solid 1350 Ujoint to avoid this and see how far the 10 bolt will take me.
