Now for what I consider my biggest accomplishment in the last couple of months - I finally managed to get someone over to help put in my Wolfe chromoly roll cage.
I'm quite sure there are several little things that I've forgotten about, but, that covers most of the important stuff. This weekend I'm going to try and get the last couple of things in the engine bay and under the car finished completely, start adding fluids, bleed the brakes, dye the dash, start applying fat max to the interior, and maybe even tackle rebuilding the steering column with larger tilt pins to remove some of the play out of the wheel.

Also, looking at the intake pics, I'm surprised you didn't depin the electrical connectors to paint them black or even silver...
And I'm pretty sure you're the king of zip ties! I will refer you to a certain white 2002 z28 camaro where you blew a whole sams bulk case of zip ties on your wiring...

Holy underestimating Batman! I was able to work on the car most of the weekend, but, didn't get as much done as I thought I would. I did get the dash prepped and the first couple of coats of dye on it (will take pics this weekend). I also got the fat mat installed. I needed this done and out of the way before I ran the rest of the interior wiring and installed the dash. It took almost 2 whole days to get it installed the way I wanted.
The only area I didn't do yet is the doors. I still have to pull the door bars and jamb it out for the color change.
I would have gotten more done, but, I ended up going to the Foreigner concert at the Hard Rock Casino and, well... Sunday was a bust.
Hopefully I can line up help this weekend (ahem, Loren...) to help me with the final wiring to the auto shifter. I probably shouldn't try it by myself. There's no telling what it would do if a color-blind person does all that wiring...

LOL! yeah, I tend to go overboard when I do things. This whole job started out as a simple LS1/T56 swap. I had no plans to go stroked LS3, auto, full tubular, powder-coating everything, or even interior/exterior color swap. Things just sort of steamrolled.... My wife has no idea how much we have in this car. She thought it was around 10k. I sorta let it slip we were over that. Didn't let her know it was probably about double that...
P.S. It's actually FatMat. A whole lot cheaper for the same thing, without the logo on it. After hearing Loren's car before and after he installed this stuff, I couldn't build this thing without doing it. It is night and day between the noise level after install. Also got rid of a lot of vibration and squeaking.

J/k, he actually is a friend despite what Internet me may lead you to believe...
But seriously, he's running my old true dual dumped setup. The fat mat is practically required for sound and rattle attenuation, and he already lost weight by not running it out the back with full size mufflers. It's not 100lbs of weight avoidance, but it's a good chunk.

FatMat weighs .31lb/sqft. So, even if I use the whole 100sqft I'm only adding 31lbs.
Besides, I'm not worried about the weight. This car will be used primarily on the street. I'm going to have a full interior, A/C, Power steering, and a full stereo system complete with 10" sub. The days of me removing creature comforts for that extra .1sec in the quarter are WELL behind me! Like Murtaugh said in Lethal Weapon "I'm too old for this ****"

6MAR17 Update Well, I got a little more done to the car. I ripped the steering column apart and replaced the hinge pins with oversized units. That actually got rid of most of the lovely Camaro "death wobble" in the column.
Watch out moving the column around during disassembly or this can happen. Luckily I found all of the ball bearings and it went right back together.
I have two videos showing the before and after difference in the wobble, but, I'm going to have to look up how to insert videos.
I also got the jambs ready for color. I know this seems a little out of order, but, I want the jambs finished before I put the dash in. It makes it easier in the long run. Well, as you can see from the pics, priming out the jambs sort of snow-balled. It just didn't make sense to me not to go ahead and prime the rest of the car. I've still got a few nicks to work out, but, it's about 75% ready for paint.
Yes, I zoned out and forgot to remove the locks. My ignition switch is a bit worn out anyways, so, this will force me to go ahead and pick up a new lock set for the car. Maybe I did it subconsciously?
I also got the transmission shifter wired up correctly. I found out that you can't just follow the guides you find on this site blindly if you start with a V6 car. Most people do the smart thing and start with a V8 car! I had to move a couple of wires around to get everything to line up correctly.
