Default LQ9 a good starting point?

I found an LQ9 6.0 with only 90k miles for 1700. It comes with EVERYTHING including the keys. I an thinking of swaping it into my 07 Reg cab Silverado. My thoughts are to add an LS3 Intake and heads and add a hot cam in hopes of getting around 500 hp. Anyone sugest going this route or know of a reason not to?

I would go with a more 'purpose-built' truck cam.

But that's just me.

Why not stick with the truck intake for more low end which it was built for? What does the 07 have in it right now?

Sounds like a decent price for that engine with all the stuff with it and under 100k miles.
