How come the engine in that picture is not an LS2?

Don't know what you are looking at?
We took the LS2 out of the crate and removed the intake assembly and bolted on the S/C. If you look real hard at the timing cover between all the brackets you can actually see the "black connector" where the cam sensor is! Trust me it is a factory LS2 6.0L crate engine.

crank pulleys not ls1, ps pump isnt ls1, alt isnt in the right spot for an ls1, coils arent ls1, the magnachargers pulleys arent in the same location as ls1. im sure there is more, but do you honestly think they would swap all that onto an ls1 just to claim its an ls2?

those numbers look great. it also looks like they didnt have to change much to make the SC fit. just locate the front drive pulley and idler pulley in a different location. what else did they have to change to make it work with the ls2?

The front cover is not an LS2 either. There is no cam sensor in the front cover.like you would have on an LS2.

I didn't know there was a program out yet to tune the LS2 pcm, which would obviously be needed for a supercharger. Could be wrong though.

Don't wanna be picky but that is a LS1 f-body PS pump.. the alternator IS in the right spot for a LS1 f-body..

Maybe you are just thinking of the vette LS1..

Not saying it is not an LS2 but it is running LS1 f-body parts

Thanks

Andrew, it is an LS2 and that is an LS2 front cover. I personally supervised the entire process. We rewired the connector that plugs into the cam sensor on the front cover. As I recall the ground wire stays in the same position but GM has switched the other two wires. Not our goal to screw people out of 20-cubic inches! Besides the block is clearly marked (can't see it in the picture, but extremely obvious to the naked eye when you look at the block) with the casting identity of "6.0L".

11Bravo -- Magna Charger flew their calibration man out for the the dyno session to do the initial tune for this LS2 engine. He was in Lubbock for two days.

Steve "Bling" - you are correct, that is F-body brackets and accessories. This engine is for a company that is building custom kit cars and they are going to use several of these LS2 engines -- we have bolted on the blower and accessories as they requested. The LS2 is shipped to us without any brackets, p/s pump, alternator, or a/c.

Fair enough. I stand corrected.
