Part of it may be the cam, which is small for a stroker. But you didn't mention what intake (LS6 or FAST 90mm) you are running. I assume those are 225 heads (not 205cc) and did you buy the assembled CNC version and have TEA port them or buy bare casting and have them ported? What head gaskets did you use? Another point is the 12 bolt and steel DS will eat up a little more hp.

T-rex is MORE then ample to support 500 rwhp NA..

do you have a dyno graph now?

What do your heads FLOW? I take it, ,that is what you meant when you said they were "bored to 330 cc"

I have seen many 402's make 500 rwhp easy on top of other 540 rwhp ls2's. Check the tune and heads and what not... definately can make more power with that cam in it, that is for sure.

how much nitous can i run safely in this slp 402 stroker/with compression at 11:1 //because i don't think the fast intake and fast tb will make that big of difference, ntg would be just as cheap and probably alot more power,i just hope my carolina clutch will hold its rated to 800 hp

I have an SLP402 w/ their head/cam combo sitting down stairs in pieces. Waiting for some more parts to come in but my setup will be very similar. I don't have the 12 bolt rear which I hear eats some hp. Also, are you A4 or M6. A4 eats some hp on the dyno also. I will let you know on mine as it goes together.

What kind of exhaust are you running. Maybe your choking it? Also if your a A4 will ear some. The fast90/90 would get you another 20-25 rwhp. But it looks like your not running a good exhaust system to me. Kooks 1 7/8 with cut-out is what you need!

Don't be disappointed yet. Some cars are dyno queens and some are not. My 402 with a baby cam pulled 484 rwhp, yet a buddies with a similar setup only pulled 456 rwhp. Yet his first day out he ran a 134 trap speed. So there is plenty of power there.

Enjoy,

Perry

I am using the TSP Torquer. And it produces over 480 rwhp with only the ported TB and Z06 intake. It has an incredibly flat torque curve with 400 ftlbs from 3000 rpm up to redline.

I am also running a baby cam 226/226 lsa 112 .600 lift with the Patriot heads stage 2.(205) and a ls6 intake. and ported TB on my 402 and put out 473 rwhp and 489 rwtq. I am a firm believer in baby cams just for the driving fun of the car and nice tq. levels.

What rpm does your car hit 400 lb ft and how long does it hold it?

A number that I find far more important than the peak numbers that so many drag only builders shoot for.

puttting the Trex in there was a mistake. I've said this a dozen times,. that cam was designed for STOCK HEADS and STOCK DISPLACEMNT. why on earth would you put it in anything else??

your heads weren't bored to 330cc. that is the intake runner displacement. do you know what they FLOW, at 100-600 lift?

factory clutch???....you are probably blowing through the clutch at that power level, which is also robbing you of some good power.

It's the heads and cam.

I still haven't seen any good results from AFR heads that were worked over by TEA.
