Cam For LS2-Based 427?
I have been a "lurker" on this Forum for the past few months and have picked up a lot of excellent information. A recent thread discussing the successful introduction of dry sleeving LS2 blocks has me very interested in doing a 427 upgrade to my '02 Z.
If anyone has any suggestions for a good emissions friendly cam to use, I would appreciate hearing from you! I will probably go for a set of TEA modified AFRs, FAST intake, etc. The exhaust will be routed through termo-coated SW 1 7/8 headers plumbed into the stock cats. Our emissions are no where as stringent as Cali, but we do have rearwheel dyno testing every two years.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

You may want to talk to Andy at A&A Corvette (sponsor). I remember he made a lot of power w/ a 427 and a small cam. He is in California, so I think he is very familiar w/ emission-friendly cams. I would think you would be looking for a 22x ish duration and high lift lobes to feed that motor and stay emission legal.

Thanks for your responses so far! I have been doing some independent research, and I am thinking that the MTI R1 cam that they use in their "Devil Ray" package might be a good choice for power and emissions?
