The LS6 is just a derivative of the LS1. Just about any Gen III V8 will slip right into a 4G F-bod.

Yes the LS6 and LS2 will fit. Look around and you will find members with those engine in their Fbods. As for the LT1, you own one dude!

I have a 95 Trans am with the lt1.. love the car, but want a better engine.

It would probably be cheaper to build up your LT1 rather than swap in a crate LS2/6.

don't discount an lt1, they may not be quite as capable as an ls engine, but considering you have one already, its completely worth it to build rather than spend the minimum of $5000 on a new engine

you'd need more then just the motor for the swap; k-member, bellhousing, ect all need to be changed.

i agree with whats been stated, just build up your lt1. get a stroker kit, a good set of heads along with cam and intake, !opti, and you'll be on the road to more power in no time.
