IM BUYING A 06 GTO ENGINE(6.0) FOR MY 98 TA.WHAT WILL I NEED TO DO TO MAKE IT WORK IN MY TA

why would you buy an LS2 to replace the LS1 anyhow?

Cam/Knock adapter harness $59.99
Map extension harness $25.99
UMI 90mm Cable Throttle body $549.25
LS2 injector spacer kit $25.99 (if you are using LS1 injectors)
or
Injector adapter harnesses $99.95 (if you are using LS2 injectors)

All these items are in stock at Katech

You will need to take off your old engine:
Knock sensors
Crank sensor
Crank trigger (press onto your LS2 crankshaft)
cam gear

Well Im Just Getting The Short Block. Im Putting My Ls6 Intake And P&p Heads. What Will I Need ?

I Just Got The Engine. I Also Bought The Cam/knock Harness. Im Putting My Ls6 With Throttle Body On It. Besides Putting My Knock Sensor And Oil Pan. What Else Has To Be Done?

He wont need the TB unless he's keeping the LS2 intake, which I dont think its worth doing for $550, if he blew his motor then he may not have that kind of cash since its unexpected. I'd say LS6 intake and a ported TB would be fine.

hey i was going to put the block in this weekend. does anybody knows if the assecories (water pump, pulley, ac comp) are different. or should i put my old one on there. i know that the one in a corvette are different but knot sure about the gto.

I believe the blocks are basically the same, its just been revised a little bit, maybe someone else knows for sure.
