It is integrated into the airbox. I think that makes your other 2 questions irrelevant.

It looks to me like knowledge of the cross-sectional area of the section of the inlet that houses the LS7 MAF, which should be easy enough to determine, would allow anyone to install it in any custom made inlet that fit their configuration. I guess the stock LS7 runs very well, however, i.e. 490, or so, rwhp, per the Monte Carlo SS posted on this forum, with an 85mm conventional cylindrical MAF.

That's good info. to know. It sounds like the easy and cheaper way would be to just use an 85mm MAF like the Monte SS LS7 installer did. The LS7 MAF, I guess, is only about $65 but the ZO6 inlet that it is supposed to slip into is a couple of hundred and ,from John's info., a guy should use that piece even if he only uses a small part of it.

The easiest way to do it is to run it speed density.
