Default Whats the revision on LS7 lifters?

ok, so we all know LS7 lifters are the same that are in the LS1/2/4/6/7. except the lifters you buy now say "revised for LS7 high rpms" what exactly is changed on the lifters as opposed to the older versions?

does anyone have the spring rates at which the stock lifters start to fail?

personaly i see no need for any lifters besides these new LS7s, expecialy for the price ($125) but everyone always rants and raves about comps replacements, are they under 100 bucks or something?

Harland Sharpe doesn't do lifters.

I though LS7 lifters were the same as all the other lifters. I too heard they have been "upgraded" but have seen no evidence to prove this. I went with a set of Comp OE replacements.

When my lifter broke in my 05 C6 I bought LS7s which were the same part number as mine ?!?!?!? But, when I got them, GM went back to a fully enclosed lifter as opposed to the ones I had first which had 2 "perches" that the roller was attached to. Other then that the high RPM deal does sound like some pressure changes but I dunno.

FYI: If GM really did a revision on the stock lifters they would have had a part number change. The link below is for a new performance lifter that has been released. It is not a revised OE lifter, it is an over the counter only lifter set and is not used in any production vehicle.
