LS2 98 Firebird 500hp what is top end speed Always 1/4 mile times.Lets talk top end How much will the 500hp ls 6.0 truck motor do on top end. I was at 155mph at 1/2 thottle and the car was smooth as no problem. will it go 180mph or will the car spin out.

3.73 gears and 6600rpm rev limit with 500hp at the crank I thought 170mph no problem but will the car front end aero the speed or will 180 or 190 be ok. Has any one gone 180 with the Firebird or vette with 1 mile burns

3.73 gears, 275/40/17 tires, 6800 rpm = 183 mph. This isn't my top speed but what I could pull in the standing mile.

INTMD8 went 199.4 with his twin turbo 96 Camaro in a standing mile. It's an LT1, but it's also almost 900rwhp though.

Nice How much power do you have. I got the 6.0 truck motor with 585 cam and 243 ported heads ls6 intake ported thottle and big mass air and long tube headers. lots of power but yoou look faster.

With 475 rwhp, I ran 170 mph in the standing mile (on motor). With a 150 shot engaged at 80 mph, I went 183 mph...so I guess I was putting down around 625 rwhp in the video.
Even on motor, my car would easily pull to redline in 5th gear (190 mph) given a long enough stretch of road. Nitrous just made it possible get to such high speed in a 1 mile distance.

Your front end looks stock so top end speed was no problem by the looks of it. Sweet I was 150 club so maybe the 170 club is do able. At 150 the sun roof was whistling alot so I let off it.

I know the car is fast because I took it to the track and got 11.93et and 114.9mph so I was happy with that and 155 on the big end 1/2 thottle so I am really happy with the car but top end is a new game for me. Did the whole engine and trans mods myself.
