Default LG Motorsports on the Dyno! L92 Heads/cam!! Numbers with in!

Hi guys!

Stock LS2 shortblock, mildly touched up L92s, Untouched L76, G6x92-3 L92 specific cam kit and the LG Pro Longtube headers for an astounding 484/455 SAE rwhp on a dynojet!

We are up late tuning and working on these packages for you guys, so stay tuned! I will upload the graphs later on tonight or tomorrow morning.

Thanks

Louis

Could you go into detail on mildly touched up?

Valves? Metal? Weight?

Springs, retainers, etc.?

Would you consider the cam mild or wild?

Flow numbers on the heads?

6 speed or automatic?

Louis, have you considered putting in one of your G7x series cams with these heads?

glad you got those rockers!!! sorry we couldnt help.... based on those numbers you would figure my 408/ported L92/L76/Beast Cam setup would be good for over 530rwhp and 500 torque.

Nice numbers!!! I wanna see those curves.

This is actually a similar version of the G7x3, it is not the G5x3, sorry for that. Its a variation of the LS7 stuff and what we have learned from it. Lou named it the G6x92-3

So you switched from the AFR 205s to the L92s?

Dragaholic, cam is mild, IMO.

Car is a 6 speed.

Head setup is undisclosed at this point until we know more for public consumption.

Jake- It had AFRs, and also had ETP 4" bore LS7s as well.

So let me get this straight...
You had AFR 205s with FAST intake and made 495/470.

You swap to L92 heads, L76 intake, appropriate cam and make 484/455? Comparable compression and same exhaust?

First off, let me commend LG for always staying out front in the R&D department. I'm happy you did this experiment, but to me, it raises as many questions as it answers. I know the L92 stuff is quite a bit less expensive than the aftermarket heads/intake, but what does this exercise prove? Lower power for less money?

Higher flowing heads.... you need more cubes or more RPM period!

That's why they are going to bump up the RPM limiter.

This is a small engine already.... 364 cu in.

Edit: This is given the same cam. But once you hit the wall with more cam, you'll need what i mentioned to get more power.

I'd like to see an overlay of the AFR/Fast/G5X3 and the L92 setup, it'd be interesting to see what the torque is doing on the low end....

MORE CUBES needed for these heads, this is from a couple builders that I talk to! Good info, Thanks!

From the graph, it looks like the power already peaked out around 6500rpm. Did you actually start the run at 3500rpm, or is there a dip in the curves at that rpm?

Nice numbers for a 364ci motor.

I think you will want a bigger cam if you raise the RPM limit as it looks all over already.
Or as mentioned more cubes.
Still for the guys with a Holden VE with the L92 heads and the new Pontiac G8 on the way, cam only guys will be having a great time!
