Default Info on doing a stock buttom end lq9 w/ 225 TFS w/ vengeance cam

I was thinking of using this setup on my formy. I don't have the extra money to put forged internals, but just enough to get the 225 TFS, vengeance cam, 90/90 setup. Would this be good setup? I see a lot of people use forged internal but I don't see the harm in using the stock block. I would like to read some of your guys opinions. Also would like a guesstimate on what kind of power could this achieve. Thanks

For some reason I thought the lq9 is a 402 or 408? Thats weird because the GTO's are 6.0L 402's right? But the SS truck are also 6.0's. But I was in the truck forum and stock cubes are 364 cu in.? I'm confused, can someone help me out. Thanks

LS2 402 = 6.58L
LQ9 408 = 6.68L

GTO LS2 364 cu. in. = 5.96L
LS1 346 = 5.66L

LS7 427 = 6.99L

That's really weird, because all the guys in the truck forum are saying that their LQ9 equipped silverado SS trucks are a 364 cu in. I was I knew how to post up a link to show you guys.

If you scroll down to the truck with stock engines you'll see where I'm getting confused. Thanks

Engines can be stroked.

A 383 LS1 is still an LS1, 454 LS2s, etc.

well the l92's seem to be there power/price wise. thats what im goin with. but the tfs 225's should put down some big power. my motor from vengeance will be done soon and we will see about the l92's. do a search for the tfs 225 416 vengeance car it put down some amazing numbers.

I've been looking at gm high tech magazine and they seem that they have a lot of potential. I think for the price I'll go with the L92's and L76 intake and get them ported. I should have a lot of $$ money saved since I won't be going with TFS. I would like to do some forged internal since I'm saving all this money. Anyone know where I can get some forged pistons and rods for a good price? Looking aroung maybe $1k to 1.5K. Would appreciate the info. THanks
