I believe about 125lbs more than an LS1. The LSX is about 225lbs, I just shipped an LS1 which was 120lbs (take maybe 10lbs off for billet main caps and full studs).

The block will end up weighing a bit less as it needs to be bored. It comes rough bored at 3.9XX inchs and you will remove quite a bit of material when finished. If you bore it to 4.200" it will lose some of the weight. No not much but some. I'm doing a before and after weigh in with my block during the boring/hone process. Mine will be a 454 and if I were going with a 427 I would have gone with an LS-7 block or sleeved LS-2. I have removed every bit of weight from the front of my old car to offset the weight of this engine. Right now it should be lighter with this engine installed than it was with a steel headed small block and stock front end. With a different front suspension, aluminum fender panels, disk brakes, light weight wheels/tires, glass hood and glass bumper I hope to have it come in under 3,000 pounds total.
