Default L92 into C5 problem

I don't think you have a problem, that left hole doesn't seem to be needed.

Below, first is your picture, then same area of an LS6 block.

After mowing the yard for 8 hrs then working on the car for 7 hours, I had a brain fart This 90 degree heat sucks, especially in the garage.

I just noticed an article where they ground that boss off to make the motor mount flush against the block. It's an LS2 in a C5. You might want to check to see if the motor mount is against the block or if there's a gap.

That is a cheaper part to grind than the block.
