Default forged ls2 364

im looking for a forged 364 long block for my 02 z28. ive searched(time-outs)and went through sponsors sites. all i see is 346-402+. i figured for the price i could get into a 364 for around the same as a 346. any ideas who to call? it will be procharged. support after the sale is as important to me as the price. thanks

I'm having a forged LS2 built by Robert at Advanced Dyno (www.advanceddyno.com). This will use the early LS2 crank (3.622") which uses the same reluctor wheel tooth count as in the LS1. Custom (rated to 20psi) Diamond forged boost pistons with -13cc dish, line honed, honed, balanced, decked, front/rear LS2 covers, etc. I've asked him to reuse my 6.125" Eagle H-rods. Total will be about $3,200.

I'll ebay the used LS6 parts such as a late block that needs honing to 3.910", an early LS6 with a cracked sleeve, cranks, covers, etc.

I'm also planning to ebay my freshly rebuilt A&A/WCR stage 2 LS1 heads for hopefully $1,500, and use that towards a L92/L72 heads/manifold package which is about $1,800.

I also contacted Cartek about their 366ci LS2 X-series which lists for $3,200, but they must be busy since it took nearly two weeks to respond, by that time I already came to agreement with Advanced Dyno, and it's comforting to have a local engine builder that will also dyno tune the engine they built. Cartek has a great reputation and their core charges are lower than other vendors. However Cartek won't accept LS6 block/crank as core (although same core charges as an LS2). Their quote for a forged LS2 is $4,500 without cores, and their other parts are pretty high: Front cover with sensor $105, Valley cover with gasket $129, 2 LS2 knock sensors $28, 2 LS2 knock sensor harness conversion ends $166, 4 LS2 lifter guides $36. I thought all I needed for a conversion was front/rear covers, LS2 knock sensors, and knock sensor wire extensions.
