Default What cam for a 427?

Just wondering what the minimum size camshaft is necessary for making 600 flywheel horse on a 427 with 11.5 compression. Any input will be appreciated.

Really not much. There are crazy big cams and friendly cams. We have tried both and with a L92 headed motor a GA cam and a 22x-23x/~610/112 will do about 530/530/ RW.

Check with LG Motorsports. Lou gets 600 fw easily. It's a proven product.

We made 614 with 637/657, 248/254@ .050 /111. That was with our LS1X cathedral head.

I have this cam (below) in my 427 w/All Pro heads 2.08 / 1.60 valves and Kooks stepped 1 7/8" to 2" headers... cool but comfortable lope, I'm extremely happy with it. 565 hp/578 torque at the crank without tune, just installed the engine 2 weeks ago, running speed density temporarily and it is extremely powerful... waiting on my tuner… the engine will be over 600hp after tune. Although got bad news today my block is leaking coolant into the oil so I had to order a block today (dang) I hate waiting. Regardless this cam is awesome… 600+ lift isn’t always necessary or needed.
