Default H/C ls3

Anyone Heads/Cam an '08 LS3 C6 yet?
MTI just did on their shop car and got 499rwhp 440rwtq. Are there any better numbers than this, because I was expecting to at least see about 520-530rwhp with a heads/cam package out of the LS3s.

What do they make to the wheels stock? I'd thought the torque would be higher, but numbers look pretty good.

Dude, what the hell do you expect?? it is a ~370 CI. And that package is probably relatively mild compared to the ls1 475 rwhp packages. I think it is damn impressive.

08s are tunable. HPT has coverage. Not sure about EFIlive.

We have LS3 editing software, the cam that was used was relatively mild...we don't like to kill the driveability of a car.

Is that LS3 edit, as in LS1 edit? And nice numbers, by the way. I guess everybody thinks you need the stick a monster cam in to make numbers. Nothing like making power and retaining driveability. Thats what most of the Vette guys want. And, the hardest thing to deliver.

Any idea on the cam specs on that MTI car? Also, did it have an underdrive pulley? CAI? Ported TB? Stock size valves? Cats? etc....

Without knowing any of this, you can't say if the numbers are impressive or not.

And was it an M6 or an A6?

500 to the rear wheels in a new Corvette . . . there are a damn lot of expensive import sports cars that would get their A$$es handed to them by that car. Nothing at all to complain about.
