LSX Deck Height Questions and More
I can't seem to get straight answers on if the taller deckheight decks are available or not, or what deckheight is the one (single partnumbeR) in the GMPP catalog? Also, if there is a taller deckheight, is anyone making off the shelf parts for these yet that are boost friendly? If there is two deckheight blocks and both available please share the part #'s... with a taller deckheight block will i still be able to run a stock intake mani or is the angle then too far? forsee any problems physically fitting the motor in a c5 vette?
For those that have ordered the blocks, how long was the wait, and is the rumor true that they require $1000's of machining just to be cleaned up and milled because they come like run of the mill crate motors? I assummed they were bad *** and came line honed/etc out of the box and you could just punch em out and be done..
Thanks!

email or ring sdpc-they were saying their is a wait or the wait is over and they are in stock-
They are very helpful and will provide u with all the deck height numbers-
i dont know about the $1000's of maching from what i understand they come good as gold out of the box with the 3.890 or 3.900 bore size-
so in a sense it would cost money if u decide to go to 4.125 bore but thats your choice-and also common when modifying-
warhawk is out also-dont know if they offer a tall deck block-i think they do-do a search on that too-
also i would say they are very boost freindly depending what bore or stroke size etc etc-(cast iron would help more than alloy in fi applications)
they claim to be good or tested to 2500 hp- they are strong but weight more than alloy of cousre-
so with a example of 2500 hp-i dont think weight would would be my issue if u could even get that kind of hp out-
max size bore on standard deck height is 4.250-thats all i know.
Hope that helps a little-

I have heard they have several for engineering.
I'll ask again.

OK from what I was told they were looking at an October date. But I have also heard from another source that they will not be out until the end of the year.
I will continue to try to get a firm release date.
Thanks
