Default Low Oil Pressure on Deceleration

I am experiencing low or no oil pressure according to my dash guage whenever I am braking, even a slight amount of braking. Warning light comes on says "Low Oil Pressure" and the guage goes from 40 psi at cruise and drops to zero on deceleration. Once I have come to a complete stop pressure returns to 40 psi. Information on vehicle as follows:
2006 SSR
LS2 engine
No internal engine mods
Just recently added headers and high flow cats about 1 month ago, but
problem did not start until a day or so ago.
Oil level is full, never been low

Any ideas would be appreciated.
I am afraid if I take to dealer, they will say sorry warranty void due to headers!!

Headers and the problem you are having are definately not related. I would take it to them and see.

Oil pump pickup, or oil pump problem.
On the side of the oil pan is the low oil sensor, that will lightup the low oil level light, but not oil pressure. If it happens on decel, then it is a mechanical problem. Take it in, you have nothing to loose.
