You will not pick up a lot. I gained 5hp from 200mi to 5,000mi. On a dyno better air could of been the cause of that.

"back in the day.." you would have picked up some power because of the rings seating in, but with modern rings and bore finishes you might see 5hp - mostly from the wash-off of assembly lube after the first oil change.

You will pick up some, but not too much. Just make sure you run it fairly hard. It is proven that engines broken in hard run better than those that are not.

When I breakin a motor we heat cycle the springs two times and let totally cool off. After that I drive it normal, but getting on it all the way to the redline a few times each gear with in the first 100mi. Threat it like a woman....be too good to it and it will dump on you. Threat it rough and it will keep giving you all she has.

that the best advice I have heard here in quite a long time. In other words **** her in the *** on the first date and load all over her face and chest.

my cam sensor wires were backwards on the new harness. i fixed that and it gained atleast 10 hp thru the entire powerband. i was getting a p0343. that was 1000 miles ago. now im still getn a random p0341. it happens during odd rpm changes. then it later clears itself. i left alabama in it sunday nite movin to las vegas. wish me luck
