any strokers using the stock connecting rod?

Default any strokers using the stock connecting rod?

has anybody built a stroker using the OEM connecting rods?everytime i see somebody list their parts,i always see aftermarket rods..just curious..

that is because most of the aftermarket pistons for the stroker kits use the old gen1 smallblock pin size so the aftermarket rods also use the gen1 piston pin diameter

Also the rod needs to be shorter because of the increased stroke.

wrong, you usually get a longer rod with a stroker to help with the piston/rod angle with the longer stroke

the piston pin is higher on the stroker piston to compensate for the longer stroke

i see,makes sense..i was thinking somebody could save a few bucks if you kept the stock rods..but then somebody would have to make a piston to work with the OEM rod..
