Default Stock Timing Chain ??

How strong is the stock set-up on a steel block 6.0? Should I change it out when I do the cam? and if so what do most people recommend? Comp Cam duel chain? and if so will it fit under the stock cover without modification? Plan to have around 500HP when done with the build. Thanks

jus get a heavy duty chain from scoggin dickey. It costs $34 and is similar but stronger than the LS1/LS2 single chain. Chains dont usually break. they just stretch over a longggggg period of time and wear. I dont think ive ever seen a timing "chain" break. Timing "belt" like in honda's is another story though

Can't go wrong with a double roller timing chain. Especially if your going to be hitting higher numbers than 500 with spray!
