comp cam 598lift 232 236 @ 50 just got finished installing thecam in my 2000 trans am and after playing with it for a little while i got it to idle. its still untuned ( waiting until payday)lol..but i am throwing codes for misfire seems to bee running ok is this normal after a cam install?

Yes it is normal to throw codes or for the SES light to go on and off..when I did my first cam (233/233 .595/.595 112) install I drove it for 3 or 4 days before I got it tuned..after you get a 100 miles on it the PCM will get smarter and it will learn to idle better..do not drill larger hole in the throttle body you don't need to do that...a tune will make a night and days difference in how it runs..congrats!! on the install..
