LS2 Cam help
Ive used the search function and now im confused more than ever. I am ordering a crate ls2 for a chevelle project im working on and will be putting a cam in it. The car is going to be a driver but would like to make the extra power and get that nice cam sound.
What would be a good street cam with a nice lift and some nice lopiness? Also whats the max lift a stock ls2 will allow. I will also be adding comp springs and pushrods at the same time.
Thanks

Well, since your adding Comp springs and pushrods, then you don't have to worry about the stock LS2 lift. Just make sure the cam specs and in tune with the springs you order. For a daily driver with good power and some lope, I'd look for something in the 228/233 .588 lift 114 lobe sep. MTI's G1 or X1 cam might be good for your needs.
G1 - 228/232, .588/.575 113 lobe sep
X1 - 230/227, .591/.571 112 lobe sep
Comp 918 or 921 springs would be perfect.

The car is not going to be a daily driver by any means but its being built with the intention of driving and possibly going on the power tour. A strong lope would be fine so maybe something with a 112 lsa would be a little better. I kinda like the looks of the R1 cam. How do you feel about that.
