ls7 lifter 600 miles and dead already?

Default ls7 lifter 600 miles and dead already?

hey guys just put in a lsx 454 in my 05 GTO it has just over 600 miles and sounds like i have a dead lifter anybody having problems with these lifters?

Did you use the LS7 lifter or the new CTSV high rev lifter? Traver

im pretty sure they are the high rev. i had a speed shop build the motor i just put it in but i am quite certain they are the high rev

I use the caddy high rev and love em and have heard nothing but good now the LS7 I have heard of a few going bad premature, what size cam and springs you using???

On a side note Traver pm me bout your cam haha

cam specs are 255,260 660,667 on a 114lsa and it has ET 700 lift springs looked at the build sheet it didnt list what lifters so i honestly dont know

I know if they didnt get the heads setup properly right push rod length and such that you can fail a lifter pretty easily.

I agree with bandit1, setup is crucial ie: seat pressure, coil bind and yada yada yada. This all needs to be checked. My guess is also that you have bad LS7 lifters...........heard a few stories about them. Traver

There is also the possibility it's not the lifters. You said you "think" it's the lifters.

Cam check over the LS7 rockers really closely, that engine has Caddy race lifters in it so I'm wondering if your issues are in the stock ls7 rockers. We might send them off to Har. Sharp for upgrades...
