Post 6.100 Scat rods for stock LS2 with SCAT 6125 Stamped on the side of the rod

Ok i got Scat I beam rods with ARP 8720 Bolts , can these bolts be torqued down more then once ? at 64lb ? or should i replace them even thought the engine hasnt been run ? i just have to double check somthing so i had to torque them down again is this ok ?

I got Scat I Beam rods from Speed inc They say they are 6.100 rods , but stamped in the side of the Rod SAys SCAT6125 they say this is just a stamping # , has anyone heard about this ?

Sounds to me like they are 6.125's. The bolts are 8740's and yes you can retorque arp hardware more than once.

I did a search for You, hope this reduces the confusion. This is a copy and paste from wwwbrandx .com(not a real url)

2-LS1-6100-2100-927 6.100", 2.100" Pin, ARP 8740 Bolts BUSHED $385 $459
2-LS1-6100-2100-945 6.100", 2.100" Pin, ARP 8740 Bolts BUSHED $385 $459
2-350-6125-2100 6.125", 2.100" Pin, ARP 8740 Bolts BUSHED $385

Sure looks as if You have 6.125 rods, do You have a caliper? You could measure them to be sure.

If that is who You are dealing with then I would believe they are 6.100, He has a pretty good reputation on here.

You should measure to see how proud the pistons are so You will know what gasket to use.

How much is the piston coming out of the deck? If it's a few thousandths that's perfect, it it's .025+ you have the wrong rod for the piston.
