Question Using ARP Main stud kit on LS2 with 11k mile on block

I am using a ARP Main stud kit on my LS2 6.0 Aluminum block with 11k what is the chances of damaging the crank if i dont line hone the block and just install the stud and go on with my business ? what could happen if i dont line hone ? cause i have no clue i even had to do that with my block, i just recentally got the block machined , Accually the cylenders were honed so that i could use my 4.005 bore pistons .. so whats the chances the machine shop line honed the block when they did all that honing work ?

If you did not pay to have mains honed, they did not do it. Sounds like Brad has had some bad experiences with using studs. Mine have all been good, I have never had to have the mains honed on 5 motor builds.

When using ARP main studs, you ALWAYS want to line hone the mains WITH the studs in place. If not, your playing russian roulette...
