What LS2 timing chain to buy

What LS2 timing chain to buy
I'm getting the idea that most people are not using a double roller chain on a LS2 or L92 block. What are you using, just the GM chain, or is there something better. What would be best for endurance racing with .600 lift and 918 springs. Got Part Numbers??

If it's OEM, it should last for 100K right? Are the sprockets heat treated, or soft steel.?
I found a part number for a GM HD chain 12586482. What are the numbers for the sprockets.

100K on a street car should be no problem. I can't say the same for road racing. I honestly don't know about the sprockets. I use the OEM LS2 sprocket because I have the LS2 block which has the cam sensor in the front cover. Otherwise the LS2 chain works fine with the LS1 sprocket.

Timing Chain for LS2
i got the comp timing chain and both gears double roller timing chain, it will also work with the cam sensor on the LS2 , its accually especially made for LS2 engine with the cam sensor on the timing cover , plus there is no problem with it hitting the oil pump , the only thing is its like $200 but im sure its worth ever bit ..

We use the GM LS2 chain and sprockets on the Nascar spec engine. No problems. Sorry I don't have the part numbers with me, I'm at home right now.
The GM single for the LS2 will work well in a road race engine, and the stock gears live well also.
The Comp 918 springs are not that heavy, and with .600 lift it sounds like you guys are confident that the LS2 chain will work for 30 minute road racing and street, Right???

Thanks for the input. Curious, did you notice much cam retainer plate wear? That's one major advantage of the Torrington but in another thread someone stated they found the most cam retainer plate wear on the cam side of the plate, which the Torrington won't help with.

That comp set is a single roller. Only doubles out there is the JP, N Motion, and Cloyes that I've seen.
$200 !! I'm sending it back, I thought I was getting a double. For all of the downshifting and endurance of road racing, I am going with a double so it will last forever.
