Default L92 + Rhoads Lifters + High Lift Cam = Flat Torque Curve

http://www.rhodeslifters.com/Pages/Articles.html

I'm planning on running Rhoads lifters on my L76 build. I'm hoping for a flat torque curve and good vacuum down low for good highway mileage and better torque down low. This is also going to be a low boost turbo application which I'm hoping the Rhoades will help the bottom end when boost is low.

Cams

Comp 220/228 .601/.613 on a 112 lsa +4
Comp 226/236 .585/.602 on a 112 lsa +4

The Rhodes will raise my DCR down low and pump up for high end power. Rhoades says there Variable Duration Lifters will lower 10*-15* of duration based on spring load and oil viscosity.

Anyone doing this now with good results?

I've been running them for 30k+. My 228/230 cam sounds more like a 224 or less. The lifters are noisy, like a solid lifter, but I like em. My tuner was surprised by how high my vacuum was. I've got them adjusted .018 off of bottom, measured at rocker tip.

Default Rhoades

I am going to stuff them in my 402 when I pull it out to stick into a 75 1 ton.
I wanted to use them in my upcoming 454 build but I think the spring pressure on the LS7 heads with the Huge Stainless valves is too much..

Please post on how they work out for ya.

Roades said #1158L would work well with my Comp 921 springs and hollow LS3 valves but they may take another 1000RPM or so to get to full lift due to the 921 spring pressure. (They guessed 4000RPM's) They also said that I could go with a little heaver viscosity oil if I wanted them to come in earlier or lighter weight to move the RPMs up, but I'm thinking that 4000 would be good for me. They also said that higher RPM's were not a issue on other LS1's and they were interested on how well they performed with the larger L92 valves.
