Default Question About The 6.2 L Vortec 6200 L92

Hi ,, the question is,,, What do i have to do if i want to swap my engine with a 6.2 L Vortec 6200 (RPO L92) engine in my 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab with a
NV3500 manual transmission ??

if this is expensive ,,, then what can i do to have the L92 inside my truck,,, becouse i really really really want that power

some people said that i can put the L92 block with the LQ9 heads and manifold and retune the computer ,, can this work ?? and will i have the L92 power with this project ?? or i will have to change the heads and a complete wiring ?? becouse i don`t want to do that ) too much expensive to me...

--------
and if i have a 4l60e transmission,, did this will be a problem ??? why ?? and how to resolve it ?? .. thanks for reading and have a nice time answering..

How much power are you going for? If you want the power of the stock 6.2 liter, you are better off saving your money and moding your current engine.

i already have the 6.0L engine and my truck give me 432 hp on the wheel with only cam and intake and crank pully,,, but this is not good for me so i finish up thinking on a 427 stroker,, while i was thinking i got an idea of the L92,, so what do you think,, does the
L92 worth the stroker or i keep up with the first idea of a 427 on the 6.0L ??

I will not work without changing the reluctor wheel on the crankshaft, also cam sensor is on the timing cover

Why not swap in a bigger cam and bolt on some AFR 225's? You can add a FAST 90/90 intake and TB, 1 7/8 headers, etc...
You haven't even come close to unleashing all that you can from your current motor. As I said before, I would mod your 6.0.

I don't see why not. You can build and tune a high horsepower car to be streetable. And with the aforementioned mods, you can easily have 500+ rwhp. Alot of the streetablility will depend on your cam and tuning.

khalaf,
it all depends how much money you want to spend.
if i was you I would go with a higher capacity short block 427 or even the TS 440 (4.1" stroke). (ls7 or LsX)
then you can enjoy the big torque, and in the future if you want more get some heads, etc.

to get 500HP to the wheels from 6.0l you will loose some low end torque, and it sounds like that is what you want to avoid.
you will be able to sell the 6.0 short block you take out to offset the cost.

when you buy your short block, you can specify the 24 tooth reluctor wheel, and you dont need to buy anything else, just bolt it together, tune it and you are smokin. depending on what cam you have you may even be able to use that.

sounds good to me but,, not understanding the part of the reluctor wheel,, are you saying that replacing the 58x reluctor wheel with a 24x will be that easy ?? just remove and put ??
