Lsx Block Made In China Wtf?
So I Just Found Out Today That Lsx Block Are Made And Machined In China? Why Hype Up The Lsx Block If You Are Going To Make It Cheap. The Reason It Has Taken So Long For Gm To Produce New Lsx Blocks Is The Chinamen Wouldn't Give The Molds Back. So I Dont Know About You Guys But I Feel Raped.

You shouldn't feel raped. The LSX block is probly one of the cheapest "racing type" blocks out there. The warhawk block is 4000+ dollars, the dart billet block is around 6000 dollars, a C5R block is around 5000 dollars, and some of the full blown race billet big blocks can be more than 10,000 dollars. We are making over 2000 horsepower with the GM LSX block and we got it for under 2000 dollars. For the strength and versatility of it, you can't beat it.

They were actually made in Mexico though.

blocks
I believe cast in India, machined here in fowlerville michigan, the machine source is even cast into the valley area. the only thing cheap I felt, were the fasteners. The could have charged 100-200 more and used Arp, SPS or A-1 fasteners, at least in the critical areas.

You wouldn't accept it anyway. Why not just complain to Robin Lawrence of GMPP, as he has already dispelled this myth several times before, including a thread started by "needadvice" https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iv-internal-engine/865763-lsx-iron-blocks.html where the same misconception also came up. Included within that thread are posts by you!
You are the one that made the claim so the burden of proof is on you.
If you need proof the delay is over here is our block:

Dude, the thing is, that it has been said over and over again they are not made in China or Mexico. One of those sources was Robin L himself. So I am surprized anyone still believes that! I mean if you have proof I would like to see it for myself! I would like to know as much as possible as well!

Here we go again. As Fraser pointed out you can find the answer in post #8.
The blocks are machined in Michigan.
Thanks for posting the link to the previous thread. I have a raging cold and really not up to saying it all over again.
Your source of information is wrong. You should not beleive everything that you are told. Also you should do a search before you post on the internet.
Have a great evening!
Robin
