L92 block and "other"
Other consists of lsx,ls7, resleeved ls2, warhawk, dart. That is in the order of most expensive.
The l92 block has a smaller bore, but longer stroke. You are somewhat limited by the head choice in those, but they are cheaper.
What are your goals out of the car and do you have a budget, and if you do, what do you plan on getting for your money. IE, long block, complete engine, etc...

The LS3 is the L92..

As Stangs Bane said there are a few ways to do a 427 these days and it all depends on your budget. The bigger the bore the more the cost of the block. You can use an L92/LS3 block and go with a 4.100" stroke crank. This is the least expensive 427. Then you have a 4.125 bore with a 4" stroke in the LS7 block or you can have an ls2 re-sleeved. These are the 3 more popular 427 builds, then you have the more expensive cylinder blocks and so forth. Some people don't like the sleeves in the ls7 block and chose the later
We could set you up with a few different combinations to make a 427, all depends on your budget.
I'll pm you with some options on short blocks as well as heads.

A little confusing
Thanks for the info

I've got less than $8k in my L92 427 stroker from Texas Speed. You'll have a 10sec car pretty much regardless what you do to it. I've only made it to the track with my car once so far and managed an 11.52 and I'm at 3670elevation and a DA of 5527ft. That's 10sec almost anywhere else. I can sure tell you that you can't go wrong with Texas Speed. They have some great service and great prices.
Also you don't need anything special. It's a direct bolt-in replacement. Keep all the accessories off your motor and put it all together on the new one. Simple as that. Then you can sell your old one and pay for your other goodies.

You should get ahold of Ron at Vengeance They have done a bunch and could come close to your price point.

Yep, I remember you. I'm not sure who builds their engines. I know they did my 454 and I couldnt be happier. ( well I could but I couldnt afford it)
Where you planning on installing it yourself ?
