Cloyes IRL Timing Chain

Google is your friend -> http://www.lingenfelter.com/store/9-3153al.html
Looks like this is the Cloyes with "Rain" chain. Basically a Premium Renold roller chain.
Look at page 3 of the Cloyes catalog ->

Hey, if you need one, I just pulled it off my motor and went back to the double roller. I need the double roller cause were shooting for around 1100-1200rwtq.
Mine probably has 40 miles on it.
Its the LS2 style for 24T though. If that matters at all..

Don't believe they ever made it for LS2 as Cloyes stopped making it a few years ago.
Bink,
Thanks for the links, saw those but was looking for a close-up to compare to the JWIS that Katech sells. The IRL chain is a shortened Oldsmobile Aurora chain that is hand assembled and blue printed.

The cloyes chain is a single roller just like the Comp. Cloyes part # is 9-3153KT..The Comp version is 3153KT
This part number is for the single roller, hexadjust, 24T or 58T, timing set from either cloyes or comp.. Being that their the same part number tells me, its the same, but I guess it could be a freak similarity.
If your looking for the LS2 version, the part number is different its 9-3158KT or 3158KT (from comp)

I have the cloyes/rain chain on my LS6. My new Katech engine has their C5R chain...is that the JWIS??

I happened across a new IRL setup and was thinking about picking it up but wanted to get some more information. The only photo's I could find were from someone in Austria with a Vette but they were kind of blurry. His plate measurements are within a couple of 1,000ths of the Katech chain so I may pass since I have a Katech chain in hand already.

Just an FYI, based off of the insignificance of the part you are inspecting in relation to the power you are making, I think it is safe to say, you have a SEVERE OCD..
If I send you an air sample of my tires, do you think you might be able to tell me the exact origin??I'm thinking the nitrogen content is slightly low..

...hehehe.
BUT, if you plan on doing track/road-course/HPDEs AND you run a manual transmission then the timing chain/set takes a major beating and durability is paramount.
Broken chain on downshift- KaBOOM......KaChing, KaChing.
