Hi all,

Well haven't been on here much, but thought I would do an update for anyone that was watching. Finally into the final tuning stages after changing cams, and finally seeing some results, as of yesterday 626rwhp, but was leaning out, have injector issues and also regulator in the fuel pump now creating problems. We believe that somewhere around the 640rwhp is possible from this combination. Changed the cam, 251/263 now, reset the intake, heads, valve covers, put 2" APC headers on too.

Changed all the body kit too, doesn't look like the same ute now, here are some pics, changed a lot of things,

Have a look now, got some touch ups done in the engine bay when the engine was out again.

Hey Mate,

It's looks awesome, looks like you have done a tidy up on the engine bay wiring etc too.

How many cam swaps is that now?...lol
glad its seems like its just a few little bugs to get out now.

Hey Mate,

Just one additional cam from the initial, apparent custom grind, this one is also a custom grind from Pat G.

Had some bugs, and some still remain, injectors and fuel pump set up getting changed out next year, and we'll go again and see what we can get from it.

The lift on this cam is only .670, the old cam was .702 .695, once we have the tune sorted and the injectors and fuel pump fixed, then i'll get new video's done and post them, it sound quite nice though, very lumpy.

Hey Guys,

Sorry haven't been here much lately, been flat out. Everything has been changed that either needed to or not needed too, ended up letting the mechanic that was changing the cam, resetting the intake etc to try and tune it. And well it was a disaster, never had I driven a car that bad.

He changed injectors to what he believed was required then blamed them for some of the problems, blamed the cam and the clutch too. He had so much time with it and burnt so much fuel, I thought he would have got it, but couldn't. So I sacked him and went elsewhere.

Tuned in half a day starting from scratch and with approx 1/4 tank of fuel burnt, that is how it should be.

Made 555rwhp and 900nm Torque, pretty happy with it now, have a couple of little bugs though, don't think the NW throttle body is closing quick enough for my liking, and manifold vacuum at low rpm is about 72 - 80kpa, could be a little nicer there. But the happiest I have been since late last year when the cam got changed and oztrack tuning were tuning it.

But it does sound great and has plenty of stick, have started the stereo install too now, have installed 2 sets Rockford Fosgate 100wrms splits, 2 x 400wrms subs yet to go in, but hopefully this weekend I will get them in and finish off the interior, then it is complete.

Might look at a different cam later on too, maybe something with big lift and larger LSA, something like the 114+ mark to help my manifold vacuum and be better down low.

Will get some vids of it done and post them up so you all can hear the sound of it, the 2" headers and dual 3" exhaust really lets out the noise.

Cheers
