There's plenty of known issues with the C4B, keep searching.
On 3 seperate breakdowns while still less than 3 yo I had a broken rocker, broken valve spring, and finally the cam ate the lifters. And that's with no form of punishment in a daily driver.
You'll find about 15 similar cases on ls1.com.au

If you're lucky and it's only a valve spring this time around you could replace all the valve springs with GM LS3 springs or any name brand single coil spring good for .550 lift or more.

Camshaft lobe pitting is another issue with the C4B.

On a side note, have you had the car on a dyno? Or down the 1/4 mile? What type of power and mph did you have?

The C4B camshaft specs appear stronger than the LS6 and so wonder what the power curves look like.
