Default More older Holdens Please!

i've been checking out this forum and the Aussie cars are fascinating! never really got to see too many Aussie cars beyond "Mad Max" and The Road Warrior". the second flick had 'em looking nothing like the stockers from what I could tell ,so please post up pics of any and years of Holden or any muscle cars from the Land Down Under , please!

absolutely fascinating! the style cues are distinct yet somehow still you can see GM's influence. That Torana is a really nice looking ride, and i notice the engines appear to be specific to Australia.thanks so much , guys!

maybe someone can help me. i am restoring a 51 chevrolet sedan turned Holden Ute. soem "Fabricator" took two sedans and a carryall or something and made a holden ute. this is a frame up restoration and i am finishing up the body work right now. the guy has a stack of research for this car, but still only has two pictures. the blue one fron SUper Chevy magazine, and a red one from the internet. could anybody from aussie find some pictures of this car??

I went back and checked out FC_Holden's photo album , if you haven't seen it, it's worth the time to look at. You Holden guys will find the 1955 Chevrolet 210 or BelAir very similar to the 58's styling, the early 60s Holden looks similiar to the 61 or 62 Impalas , while the one in the post above is pretty distinctive and really doesn't resemble any US car. The closest on the headlights /grille work *might* be a 70 Chevelle. Some of these cars looked pretty much original. Is the climate there pretty kind to sheetmetal? The desert states here are probably the best from a rust point of view.
