Yeah, this all started by some really smart guys who dropped race trailers off right in front of the gate and then did not get back there bright and early the next morning to move them..
Smart move!

I remember getting there early Friday morning and sitting there until almost noon before letting us in? Was it really some trailers holding up the line or do they just not open the gate until noon? That line was plenty long so letting us in earlier would take some pressure off Lonnie parking everyone

I would agree with others and registering for the event was way too slow and once you got to the front they seemed very unorganized.

The Friday night BBQ would be a great addition!

This was my first LS Fest and I do plan on attending every year going forward. I really liked the friendly laid back attitude of everyone their.

The people working the gate told me the people did not get to there trailer to move it til 8:30 and the gate opened at 8AM for racers.
Thats how that line got that crazy. I've been every year and that was a first time for that to happen.
I hope that does not happen this year.

I ran an 11.00 in the True street class and got told to slow down because I didn't have a cage when there was a few cars with no cage going faster than they should be. Just saying.

track prep for sure...and i know nmca has their own tech and of course the nhra rules; BUT tech needs to relax on true street and rumble class. Those 2 classes make up most of the people in the event and pay a hell of a lot of money in compared to whats payed out....i had a smart *** tech last year and that just started the event off in a bad way

Tech is not a area to relax. The rules are there make the car legal.

trying to get tech'd in for 11.0's and get rejected and couldn't even run rumble? not talking about the cars running 8's or 9's in ts without proper cages....

No different than the $600 I had to spend on a sticker and license. Did it make my car any safer no but it is what I had to do to race.
Pay to play

So I'll go back and look over the comments but the actions items are:

~Improve track prep.
~Need 2-3 times more people registering in cars Friday morning.
~Friday BBQ sounds cool.
~Like Pro LSX class.
~Gamblers Race
~More car show classes

I'll be back later.

Needs more order for getting in over more people...you have people from way back in line walking up and getting their stuff and that makes a mess when they're trying to drive around everyone that's waiting

Good point.

I'll ask about opening up another entrance and splitting up the registered vs unregistered folks.

Maybe the paper work folks need to be closer to the street too... I'll ask them to look at a map of the track and look at how to fix that.

This is not serious but change the date. I don't see me or any other Drag Week attendee coming this year. Damn it

PSJ... There are two entrances to the place, and for racers coming in they should have at least signs up indicating so. Maybe put pre-registerd racers and vendors at one gate and the other for regular entry.

Yeah that's what I was thinking Eric, maybe they could use the other entrance for pre-reg folks.

Can't change the date but I'll also miss seeing all the cool DW cars, that was bad *** last year.

Again, prep the track. I saw a lot of fast cars that didn't have a track to run on last year. Other than that, it was the best car event I've been to.

Event director for the drag racing is going to be Rollie Miller of the NMCA. Track prep is something we can suggest to Rollie when the time comes. Racers please note, this is important to focus your comment to the right person. The guys running the line at Beech Bend will take direction from Rollie + Holley.
