It would be nice to have some cars in the pro class, and have the class again. Maybe schedule it so the drag radial guys can jump into it too. I can't believe no one showed up for that $4,000. Kemph, Berry, Caryle, all could run low 6s and very low 4s in the eighth mile this year.

I can ask on Gamblers race. I'll be totally honest, I've seen the term before, what is a gamblers race?
TJ, there is though to running Pro again this year. I did check and LS Fest is not the same weekend as the YB Nationals which would have been a huge conflict.
I'm pretty sure the reason that the OH Boys didn't run Pro was Mike and Mark were doing well in the points for ODR.
Anthony Manna is moving to 88's and I know as I'm a friend of his that he will probably jump for the money if he has his car dialed in.
I did ask a few guys (Kempf, Berry, Tedd S w/Turbo SVO, Rodney with the Cavvy) to let me know if they were interested. I don't have contact info for Gerald Bunce but I will call Proline at some point.

A gamblers race is typically a bracket race with a $30-$40 entry, which pays a certain percentage to winner and runner up. If you do it with a pro tree I bet there will be a lot of interest to get some more cracks at the tree and the track.

Mine has to do with more of the show n shine, be nice to have a little more class selection, example is I was put in a late model class which was 96 and newer, think there should be a class for ls powered vehicles that come from the factory and a swapped ls powered class. The truck that won my class was a stock TBSS, the amount of time I put into my swap and everything else to make it look nice to lose to some thing like that is kind of frustrating. Now I tried not to let this get me down because I had a blast the whole weekend just thought I'd put it out there.

The BBQ Friday nite has been good in the past, why not!
First and foremost from the racers mouths, and not just a few... The track prep has flat sucked. I am sure the track people probably hate me by now already but all I am trying to do is help them have a good show and get the racers some good data to make changes with between rounds. At then end of the day it is all about the show for the fans and to promote the sponsors, but who wants to go out there and blow the tires off? The racers don't want it and NEITHER DO THE FANS.
It is too bad that the LS fest is such a cool event, but honestly we all may as well just leave the cars in the trailer until 1 pass on Saturday eve. They tell me that "so and so went x.xx here last Saturday at the NHRA divisional and then couldn't do the same at Indy". Guess what... This is small tires and mostly radials. What works for big tire slicks at NHRA races don't work with ODR or R/S, or many of the others for that matter.
What really torques me is that Holley was supposed to have told the event staff to "do whatever it takes to make a good show, we will pay the bill". Then a track person tells me "it's not cost effective to spray past 300 feet" What? Are you f'n kidding me? Time to wake up boys... these ODR cars make over 2500hp and it's no where near the same as your bracket days prep.
I have one thing to say. BG Raceway(and Atlanta for that matter) get off your stingy asses and spray and drag that F'n track! Stop wasting our time and money. If you want a real honest opinion to back this up... just ask Ray Litz.

I agree with ssvert99 about Atlanta and Bowling Green track conditions. They were below standards - actually unsafe. Is it the VHT that is being used? Is it thinned out to much? I walked out to the sixty foot cone at both tracks. Not much different then walking on a hot paved street.
Yes to Friday night BBQ.
Yes to Gamblers race.

Bring Jason with VP to the track./end of prep issues.
Venders are allowed to take the turn to the right at the fork and cut through the amusement part to get in quickly. Allow racers to due the same.
This will split the traffic and expedite everyones entry to the event.
More workers at the entry checking people in.

Entry on Friday morning was rough, that's a really good thing to bring up I will make sure the committee gets on that.
With respect to track prep, I'll find out who will be in charge of that. Might be more NMCA this year so I'll ping Dave W or Lonnie.

I'd be in for more classes in the show and shine also. I brought a GTO in, an was placed in the late model class. There's were easily 15-25 GTO's in the show and shine alone.....

I hope to see better prep for the high hp guys as well, I know fans don't like seeing cars spin on the line.
Would be neat to have a perfect reaction time plaque given out and perfect dial in plaque given out, Just a thought. I had been thinking about this last year and thought it would add to the fun. Even going with number one qualifier awards for each class or somethin.
Gamblers race sounds good, i can't remember how its setup exactly tho.
